A little retail therapy goes a long way.

Well, I ditched the boys and went shopping today. I got myself a pair of hot pink runners so Brendan and I can start training for the Delta Triathlon. I promised Brendan that if he signed up to do the youth version on his own (not as part of a team) that I would do it with him. So, here' s a picture of my new fancy shoes... Ok, the colour isn't what I was going for but they were cheap (70%off) and I figure they'll make me run fast so people won't see my feet!

After shoe shopping I was on the hunt for the perfect Christmas present for a friend. He's hard to shop for because he's really tall with long arms and legs, so there aren't a lot of choices, but after a few hours and many stores, I think I came up with a great combination. I can't wait to give it to him! (For all you readers who are getting excited that I'm clothes shopping for a boy, relax - we're just friends and have been for a long time)

I think I'm going to get the boys and get them out of the house for a movie or something. They've been inside for too long and they're driving me crazy. Maybe I'll put on my new runners and embarrass them a little - that sounds fun!
