Have you ever had a Dr. tell you to "just cut some stress out of your life"? Is there anyone out there who has heard those words and not had to bite your tongue or cut off your air supply to keep yourself from bursting in to a full blown, tear producing laughter? When I heard those words yesterday, I actually didn't know what to say. I was speechless. My life was running through my head, behind my eyes, and all I could think of was "what?". So today I've been thinking of who/what will go from my life to make me able to live with less stress... here are the options...
1. my mom -currently sick
2. my oldest son - the one that is dreadfully funny and completely incapable of making it through the day without forgetting something, or yelling at me.
3. my youngest son - the bipolar one, who is homeschooled.
4. my van - falling apart a little more each day. It won't be long now...
5. my job - I love my job.
6. the giant hole in my back yard - this hole is supposed to be revealing the broken pipe that is flooding everything outside. So far there is a lot of mud and a lot of water, but no broken pipe.
7. my bank account - I can't even talk about this one.
8. the inside of the house - keep in mind this is a house that is having to run on minimal water usage and it's been that way for almost two months.
9. my brother - he has his own health issues and he doesn't keep them to himself.
10. the rats - the source of nighttime sounds in the wall. I am going to be a professional exterminator for my next career. (If the hole outside would get filled, there may be less vermin)
11. Christmas - does this need an explanation?
12. me - hmmmmm, not sure what to say.
Anyways, those are the initial things that went screaming through my brain when the Dr said to cut some stress out of my life. Maybe I should run a poll to see who or what should go.
I think if Dr's are going to take a class in pat answers to patients they should have to take a class in self defense as well because let me tell you, I really wanted to smack him when he said that to me!
