Waterfalls and trains

Today we went on a mini research trip. We travelled to Squamish to the West Coast Railway Heritage Park to check out some passenger train cars that are similar to the ones we will be travelling in on our big trip. We took a 10 minute ride on a BC Rail bud car and got up in the engine of the Royal Hudson. We asked Grandpa lots of train questions and found out lots of info for our trip.

On the way to Squamish we stopped at Shannon Falls for a bit of a walk and to kill some time. Lesson learned: when we travel we need to keep change on hand to pay for parking! I did not expect to pay for parking in a Provincial Park - I was very wrong. Praise God for credit cards!
We ended our day with a chicken b-b-q and cake! It was a good day, lots of fun and we learned some new stuff. Only 253 days to go...
